About this event

How Can We Hold Power Accountable and Retain our Democracy? Knowledge and Actions to Confront Threats to Fair and Free Elections
Join us on November 8, 2025 for the annual LWVMC Fall Luncheon. Our luncheon speaker, Ellen Weintraub Esq, former commissioner and chair of the Federal Election Commission, will discuss how we can be aware of and effectively counter interference and voter suppression in the run-up to the 2026 federal elections. In the current atmosphere of declining trust in fair elections, Ms. Weintraub will share her perspective on how to hold power accountable for preserving the rule of law, checks and balances, and democratic norms. Plan to attend and learn more about how together we can have an impact.
The luncheon is open to members and non-members. You can register up to 4 people when you register. Seating is limited. Register early for this in-demand event.
Registration closes October 24th at noon.
