Lobby Corps

The Lobby Corps of the League of Women Voters of the United States is a team of approximately 20 League volunteers from the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland. Active since the 1970s, this team helps increase the League’s presence on the Hill while keeping the membership informed. The LWVUS advocacy staff provides Lobby Corps members with training and briefings on its legislative priorities. Team members make appointments with staff of their assigned US Senators and members of the US House of Representatives and send reports about each contact or meeting to the national advocacy staff.
