HELP WANTED!
LWVMC needs volunteers to support short-term projects as well as for tasks that require ongoing support. Often, these volunteer opportunities involve only a few hours and can be performed remotely on your own schedule. Current needs include opportunities in these categories:

CPA Volunteer Needed

Support the League's Commitment to Making Democracy Work
The Making Democracy Work Committee is currently seeking LWVMC members to support these projects. For more information or to volunteer, please email to mdw@lwvmocomd.org
  • Spanish speakers needed!  If you are a Spanish speaker, help us promote the Voters' Guide in Spanish-speaking neighborhoods.
  • Share VOTE411 and Voters' Guide information on Social Media.  Share links to VOTE411.org and the Voters' Guide (in Spanish as well as English) on your social media accounts. 
  • Support our Board of Elections Candidate Forum. Help is needed to help advertise and conduct the forum to inform Montgomery County residents about their choice of candidates.
If you would like to support our League's commitment to Making Democracy Work at events, please also consider these opportunities:  Distribute VOTE411 Cards at MARC Stations on Sept 24 ; Distribute VOTE411 Cards at Metro Stations on Sept 24Help deliver Voters' Guides; VOTER Hotline - English; VOTER Hotline - Spanish Speakers. You will also find multiple opportunities to help at voter registration events at Volunteering Opportunities.
 
Help Maintain LWVMC’s Website  
The Technology Committee is seeking LWVMC members to help to maintain our website. No prior experience necessary, training will be provided. For more information or to volunteer, please contact techcomm@lwvmocomd.org.
  • Roster Administrator. One time per month, meet with the League’s administrative associate to assist in administering member and non-member data maintained on the Club Express platform. Expected time commitment - 1 to 2 hours per month.
  • Graphics Designer.  As needed, develop graphics using CANVA for events and announcements posted on the League’s website and for social media posts. Expected time commitment could be limited to 1 or 2 hours per month.
CPA Volunteer Needed
We are looking for a CPA who has experience with a nonprofit 501(c)(3) to assist with preparing our annual non-profit IRS Form 990. Our Treasurer, and Budget and Finance Committees, would be most grateful to find someone among our members, or friends and family of members, to help us with this important annual work.
