Policy Positions

What are League Positions? At the local, state, and national level, the League develops positions on public policy. The League may testify, write letters, or lobby elected officials based on these positions. As a nonpartisan organization, the League only takes positions on policy issues and not on candidates.

How are LWVMC Positions Developed?  Members identify issues for study, create study committees if a committee does not already exist, and write Fact Sheets based on extensive research. Learn more about the study process here: Current LWVMC Studies. Current Fact Sheets are viewable here: Fact Sheets.
