LWVMC volunteers help voters register at events across Montgomery County. In 2024, LWMMC supported voter registration at more than 50 events!

Voter registration activities fall into some general categories:
  • New Citizens. We register new citizens at naturalization ceremonies held periodically (usually monthly) at the U.S. Courthouse in Greenbelt.
  • Students. Volunteers engage students to register to vote and join LWVMC at Montgomery County College campuses in Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring.
  • Community Outreach. We also sponsor voter registration events at senior living communities and provide voter registration and other voter services at correctional facilities, local libraries, street festivals and similar events and places of worship.
You can view and sign up for currently open opportunities to help voters register here: Volunteering.
