What We Do
Educate and Engage Voters about Elections – We register voters; prepare publications to explain the voting process; produce and distribute the Voters’ Guide to inform voters of candidates’ positions on issues in their own words; collaborate with community groups; conduct or assist with candidate forums.
Protect Voting Rights – We learn about the election process; monitor election related activities at the local, state and national levels; and advocate for improvements to the election process based on our public policy positions.
Keep Ourselves and Others Informed – We have studied various aspects of the election process, redistricting reform, ranked choice voting, open primaries, money in politics, ballot questions, and vote by mail,and use our findings in our work. We keep apprised of election procedures by closely following the Montgomery County and Maryland State Board of Elections.
We meet monthly on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm on an ad hoc schedule.
