Members of our Elections, Healthcare, Administration of Justice, Transportation, Education, Fiscal Policy and Environment team. a long name that demonstrates the breadth of the discussion. The team worked on more than 100 pieces of legislation. They will discuss the major pieces that we supported or opposed and the outcome.
Members of the Making Democracy Work Committee coordinate voter registration, publication of the Voters‘ Guide and Your Elected Officials, organize candidate forums, monitor the state and county Boards of Elections, and oversee other election activities including the Polling Place Support Program and advocacy for ranked choice voting.
he Agriculture Study committee focuses upon the activity of the county government that affects the Agricultural Reserve as well as state and Federal actions impacting agriculture such as the Census of Agriculture and the Farm Bill. This includes actions to preserve agricultural land such as the Transferrable Development Rights and the Building Lot Termination programs. Current topics include Agritourism, Rustic Roads, solar production and conservation practices. A fact sheet will be prepared and utilized to support Discussion Sessions for members and to update our consensus positions.
Membership Committee monitors new member contacts, plans for New Member Orientations and outreach activities.
